It is no longer news that former presidential aide, Reno Omokri always want to put hiimsef in the forefront any big name trending on social media.
There has never been a time that Reno kept mute on trending issues even when the issues have nothing to do with him, he must find something to tweet or talk like a parrot.
Take a look at the case of Tonto Dikeh, BlessingCEO, Blessing Okoro, Davido, Buhari, Atiku, Reno always wants to tag along to keep his name trending. Well, lucky for him, bloggers like us will always want to feed on his stupidity basically because of the traffic his statements bring to our websites.
Of recent, Reno Omokri sparked numerous reactions on social media following his lamentation of the threats to his life from supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi. Reno stated that Obi should be held responsible if anything happens to him or his family members.
Taking to his Instagram page on Friday, Reno alleged that he had been a victim of harassment because he faulted the assertion by Peter Obi, that he was a “Pilot” and other contenders for Nigeria’s top position were mere ‘drivers.’
According to him, he had reported the threats by the ‘Obidients’ to Peter Obi but, however, noted that nothing has been done by the presidential candidate.
He wrote: “What exactly did I say? I said Peter Obi was wrong to describe himself as a pilot and other Presidential candidates as “mere drivers” and “substitute players”. That is why they are threatening my life.
“I reported their threat to my life to Peter Obi directly, he did nothing,” Reno Omokri said.
“The threats are becoming too much. My life is at risk. If anything happens to me, my wife, my children, or my siblings, the world should hold Peter Obi responsible. He has raised a horde of intolerant and violent Obidients who just want to replace Buhari’s tyranny with theirs! If I was in Nigeria, they would have sent unknown gunmen after me.
Reno’s allegations has stirred mixed reactions from social media users. While many stated that his allegations had nothing to do with Peter Obi, others opined that the ‘Obedient’ are always quick to attack other supporters on social media.
