PDP crisis: A roaring lion kills no game, says Atiku

Special Assistant (Public Affairs) to the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign, Mr. Phrank Shaibu, has said the party’s candidate will not reduce himself to the point of exchanging verbal missiles with any Governor because he has an election to contest and a nation to unite.

Shaibu dismissed verbal attacks on the person of Atiku by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, while commissioning a project in Port Harcourt, on Friday.

Wike had while denying the existence of a deal between the G-5 PDP Governors and the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu.

Wike dismissed the claim as speculations engineered by “people running elections.”

He said, “Let us even say there was a meeting in London, is Atiku not meeting with APC Governors? When he is in Dubai, don’t we know what is happening?

“Leave G-5 Governors alone, is Wike contesting elections? Leave us alone, face your election and tell people what you want to do.

“You say you are not bothered about us, that we are nothing. I went to London on holiday to enjoy myself with my family.

When contacted, Shaibu dismissed Wike’s against Atiku with a single statement, he said, “A roaring lion kills no game, let him (Wike) continue roaring, Atiku is on the March with Nigerians firmly behind him.”
