Yemi Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has condemned the killing of Christians in Southern Kaduna, Kaduna state, an aide to the Vice President told this newspaper.

The aide said the Vice President has been working behind the scene to ensure that peace ensues in Southern Kaduna and the whole of the country as a whole.

“He has been interfacing with the governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, the Christian Association of Nigeria and the army chiefs for weeks,” the aide said.

The aide explained that the Vice President cannot be speaking publicly on security activities. “These are security matters, the Vice President is very active and proactive on this matter but he should not be perceived as a man who speaks for one religion alone.

The aide explained that the President and Vice President have held meetings on a daily basis with security chiefs because they want peace in this country.
