Nigerians React As CBN Orders Usage Of Old Naira Notes
Mixed reactions trails as the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, bows to the supreme court ruling on the usage of old ₦500 and ₦1000 Naira Notes.
Why now? After many lives have been lost, many Nigerians could not help but wonder.

The CBN released a statement hours after President Buhari denied ordering Godwin Emefiele, or the Attorney-General, Malami, to disobey the apex court’s ruling.
The CBN spokesperson, Isa Abdulmumin, on Monday, says the old notes remain legal tender until December 31, 2023.
