Veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, professionally known as Mr. Ibu, celebrated his 62nd birthday with his family members and some friends in his hospital bed on Tuesday 17th of October.
A video was streamed live on the official Instagram page of the actor showing him in a hospital. A cake and packs of juice to spice up the celebration were put before him to mark the day. People present with the actor sang some birthday songs for him in a bid to cheer him up.
In the video, which was posted on the actor’s Instagram account on Tuesday, he was seen in the hospital putting on a patient gown with some of his relatives around to celebrate his birthday.

The actor has been ill for a while. Nigerians took to social media to send their best wishes to him as he battles the ailment.
Reacting to the video, @Kotosiafaze wrote, “Watching the people who made your childhood memorable get sick and old is kinda heartbreaking, I pray he receives a miracle and gets healed.”
Another user, @Sormmasharon1 tweeted, “He is still sick? Thought he has recovered ????????May God bless him with more years even as he celebrates his Birthday ???? I wish him quick recovery.????”
