‘Good looking men turn me on’ – Nollywood actress Opeyemi Adetunji

Opeyemi Arike Adetunji who has featured in Yoruba blockbuster movies like Omo Alhaja 2, Omo Ijoba, to mention just a few, recently opened up on her expectations in a relationship.

According to the Ile-Ife, Osun indigene, she is also ready to date and end up marrying a younger lover who meets her relationship criteria.

“Despite being in the movie industry where a lot happen, I can’t date or have anything to do with every woman’s man. It is a total turn off for me. I love men who are intelligent and good-looking. And yes, I can date a younger lover. There’s nothing wrong in marrying one who is younger than I am, after-all, age is nothing but a number. As long as the feeling is mutual. My happiness and that of my lover is key. I don’t care what people have to say,” she said.

Recalling her early days challenges in Nollywood and how she overcame them, Ms Adetunji said, “The need to sell myself pushed me into combining acting with producing because most directors and producers prefer known faces for their jobs. When I am producing a movie and also part of the cast, it is always a difficult task. It is not easy I must confess; you have be in character at the same time on your toes. You don’t want things to go wrong with your production. Another challenge is funds and the industry being filled with unpleasant rivalry. But I am grateful. Life is all about accepting the challenges that come along your way.”
