The German boss said he had trouble sleeping in the build-up to the quarter-final game.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Bayern Munich meet in the first leg of their quarter-final at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.

Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel has said that his side’s Champions League clash with Manchester City is giving him sleepless nights.

Tuchel told reporters he was hoping to go to bed early following their arrival in England but added it was not possible as he had to talk to his boys about tactical plans.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager, who was sacked at Chelsea in November 2022, said: “I just hope I will be able to sleep. It is hard to get that sleep when you’re thinking about things. I couldn’t get back to sleep. I just kept thinking about the match.”
