We’ll develop homegrown tech solution to tackle insecurity – Mamora

The newly appointed Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Sen. Adeleke Mamora has assured that the Ministry will relentlessly pursue the development of homegrown technological solutions to tackle the security challenges faced by the nation.

He said Nigeria must be a crucial participant in the 4th industrial revolution for the country to make developmental impact.

Sen. Mamora stated this on Thursday in his office when he assumed duty as substantive minister, assuring that his administration will make positive development in the STI sector.

The Minister said that he will work hard to achieve the mandate of the Ministry for Nigeria to be able to make impact participant in the 4th industrial revolution.

According to him, the administration recognises Science, Technology and Innovation, (STI) as the desired roadmap to Nigeria’s industrial revolution.

“This ministry will relentlessly ensure the development of homegrown technological solutions to the security challenges faced by the nation.

“The Ministry will focus on the utmost utilization of research innovations and outputs by the various Research Institutes in order to achieve economic diversification in the country”.

He reiterated the present administration’s efforts in improving the socio-economic and political well-being of Nigeria.

To this end, he enjoined the staff to be dedicated and committed to their duties so as to achieve the desired goal.
