‘Nigerian Eagle shall fly again’ – Tinubu assures world leaders

Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, sent his appreciation to world leaders who congratulated him for winning the February 25 presidential election.

Tinubu applauded them for extending arms of friendship, as he also vowed to reciprocate this by working with them, saying, “The Nigerian Eagle shall fly.”

Recall that Tinubu has been receiving congratulatory messages from world leaders, including the United States, United Kingdom, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, among others.

The former Lagos State governor was declared the winner of the February Presidential election by the INEC after defeating the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and LP’s Peter Obi.

However, In a tweet via his Twitter handle at the weekend, Tinubu said, “I deeply appreciate the congratulatory messages that have come in from friends and well-wishers from home and abroad. The messages of goodwill and solidarity have been so overwhelming for me to mention you all by name.
