Popular Nigerian Singer Teni Apata has sparked reactions on social media over claims of disrespect to President Muhammadu Buhari while accepting her national honour.
The 2022 National Honours Award Investiture took place at the International Conference Centre in Abuja on Tuesday.

Teni was conferred with the title of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) by President Buhari.
In a video making rounds on social media, the 29-year-old is seen receiving the award from Buhari without a handshake which many claimed was an act of disrespect to the president.
